Indie developer Darkvania Works and publisher GrimTalin have announced their brand new horror game Last Days of Lazarus. Last Days of Lazarus will release on Steam, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Last Days of Lazarus is a vision from George Remus who is the writer and artists behind the critically-acclaimed title Gray Dawn which currently boasts 84% positive reviews on Steam.
Last Days of Lazarus is set in a post-soviet Eastern Europe and tells the story of a troubled man who is returning to his childhood home after his mother’s death to spend some time with his sister. Upon his return, the country starts to fall apart around him and certain unexplainable events begin happening which leads him on a quest to find out more about his family’s disturbing past.
It is a first-person adventure game that focuses heavily on its narrative and rich visuals. It draws its inspiration from the post-soviet era with a Gothic vibe and supernatural elements. As the story unfolds, you will meet questionable characters whose corrupted version of the truth will be difficult to navigate. You will struggle not only with solving the mysteries laid upon you but also with keeping any sliver of hope for salvation alive as you suffer from a troubled past as well.
