Strictly Limited Games has announced the start of pre-orders of the high-end retro gaming console EGRET II mini – Limited Blue Edition. Coming from TAITO with ININ Games’ edition soon to follow, the exclusive Western edition is limited to just 5,000 units worldwide and is split over different versions that will come with special content.
Initially announced over a month ago, ININ Games and Strictly Limited Games have officially opened the reservations of the EGRET II mini which comes with 40 iconic retro games of various genres and tons of awesome features. It features a 5-inch 4:3 rotating screen for horizontal and vertical alignment, an adjustable joystick to switch from 8 directions to 4 directions, and a lot more.
For a short time, you can also get yourself a Limited Blue Edition which comes with a unique color scheme including blue buttons and joystick. It is also the only officially licensed version directly available in the West. This is limited to just 5,000 units worldwide and now pre-orders are live so if you want to secure one, you can head over to the website and secure your spot right now. It is slated for release on May 27, 2022.
Apart from this, you can also pre-order the Egret II mini–Arcade Cabinet Blue Edition and the Game Center Blue Edition with exclusive items via the Strictly Limited Games official website.
- EGRET II mini – Arcade Cabinet Blue Edition – $369.99 – Including the EGRET II mini – Limited Blue Edition, plus the Paddle and Trackball Game Expansion Set that comes with a controller and 10 additional games on SD card. Furthermore, this edition comes with a set of mini instruction cards, the TAITO/ZUNTATA anniversary soundtrack, and a strategy book.
- EGRET II mini – Game Center Blue Edition – $499.99 – The most extensive edition includes all the content of the Arcade Cabinet Blue Edition plus the other two available optional EGRET II mini controllers and even more awesome physical collectibles.
ININ Games will also offer the consoles on their own along with three separate, optional controllers later down the road so if you miss the Limited Edition bundles, you can get the basic console with optional controllers later as well. Additional versions and accessories include:

- EGRET II mini – Control Panel – $99.99 – Special EGRET II mini controller with 6 control buttons and an adjustable joystick to switch from 8 to 4 directions. Allows for 2 player battle or co-op.
- EGRET II mini – Control Pad – $39.99 – Uses a more home console-oriented layout and allows for 2 player battle or co-op.
