The River Pass Collectibles – Location Guide

This God of War The River Pass Collectible Locations Guide focuses on all collectibles present in The River Pass. There are 37 collectibles in this region that you must collect. We have detailed the collectibles in a sequence so that when you start the area, you can collect all of them while following the main path that you used for the campaign.

The collectibles are in sequence when you spawn to the Mystic Gate after the main story finishes. Make sure you follow this sequence so that you do not miss any collectibles.

The River Pass Collectible # 1 – Legendary Chest

The first Legendary Chest is linked with the main story so you will automatically get it while playing the story.

The River Pass Collectible # 2 – Lore Marker

This Lore Marker is also story-linked and cannot be missed.

The River Pass Collectible # 3 – Mystic Gateway

You will obtain this automatically while playing the main story.

The River Pass Collectible # 4 – Raven

It is sitting right next to the Mystic gateway mentioned above.

The River Pass Collectible # 5 – Artifact

Climb down near the raven using the chain located in front of the Mystic gate and collect the artifact sitting below.

The River Pass Collectible # 6 – Artifact

Head back up and cross the bridge to reach Brok’s shop. Head right and you will find this artifact.

The River Pass Collectible # 7 – Shop

Unlocked during the main story so cannot be missed.

The River Pass Collectible # 8 – Nornir Chest

Cross Brok’s shop and head to the left side. Drop down the ledge and use the stairs to go down. You will find a Nornir Chest here. To open it break the three seals. The first seal is located above the chest, the second seal is located on the side of the bridge on some rocks and for the last one, you will need to look through a hole facing the path where you came from.

The River Pass Collectible # 9 – Artifact

Head back to Brok’s shop and head on to the story path. Once you are inside the cave, head straight to cross the death trap. The artifact is sitting next to a corpse right after the trap.

The River Pass Collectible # 10 – Nornir Chest

When you have crossed the death trap, call your axe back and allow the trap to lower down. Jump to the top of the trap and you will see a Nornir Chest. To open it, break the three seals located in the same area. One is located in a side tunnel at the top of the trap. Now hit the yellow boards to make the trap go up with you still standing on it. You will see the remaining two seals when you reach the ceiling.

The River Pass Collectible # 11 – Artifact

After collecting the Nornir Chest, head back down and head outside on the main path. Look on the right side and you will find the artifact next to a corpse.

The River Pass Collectible # 12 – Artifact

This artifact is located inside the cave, which you enter after solving the spinning discs puzzle. You can hear some ravens as well in this cave.

The River Pass Collectible # 13 – Raven

In the same cave, look for the collapsed section of the cave from where light will be coming in from. A dead body is also placed here. You can see the raven sitting at the top of the collapsed section where the light is coming in. Look in between the greenery as it blends well in the surroundings.

The River Pass Collectible # 14 – Raven

This raven is located in the area where you fight the burning troll mini-boss. It is sitting on one of the big curved bones forming a hedge over the area.

The River Pass Collectible # 15 – Nornir Chest

This chest is located in the same boss area. Head to the left side from the location of the raven and you will see the chest sitting there. You need to hit three seals in quick secession. Two are located right over the chest with a third one located on the other end of the area. Hit the far one before and then hit the two located right near the chest to unlock the chest.

The River Pass Collectible # 16 – Lore Marker

Head left from the Nornir Chest and find the barricade on top of a hill. Break it using your axe and then use Atreus to make him lower a chain for you. Climb up to read the Lore Marker.

The River Pass Collectible # 17 – Raven

Head back on the main path and keep following it until you reach the area where there are some burned huts. You will find the raven sitting on the first burnt hut.

The River Pass Collectible # 18 – Artifact

Find the burned-down hut near the raven. A corpse is sitting with the artifact near it.

For the next few collectibles, you must fast-travel to the Mystic Gateway called ‘Witch’s Cave Lower Level’. This is unlocked automatically when you play the main story of the game.

The River Pass Collectible # 19 – Mystic Gateway

Unlocked automatically during the main story.

The River Pass Collectible # 20 – Legendary Chest

After arriving in the cave, take the elevator up and you will see a Legendary Chest sitting there.

The River Pass Collectible # 21 – Language Cipher Chest

Head behind the Elevator and use Atreus’s electric arrows to blow up the red tree sap and get access to the Language Cipher.

The River Pass Collectible # 22 – Nornir Chest

Head back to the main path and go down into the Witch’s cave. You will see the Nornir Chest sitting in the middle of the path. Use Atreus’ Elven Arrows to create bridges to reach it. To open the chest, destroy three seals. First, one is located across the chest on some rocks, the second is located behind the elevator and the last one is located inside the room blocked by the red tree sap. Blow it up using the red spiked ball and Atreus’ shock arrows.

The River Pass Collectible # 23 – Legendary Chest

Head inside the room, which you opened up for the previous Nornir Chest. Open the gate and reach the end of the cave where you will come to a wooden barricade. Destroy the barricade and make Atreus climb up. Push the block to create a path for Atreus. He will jump on it and start pushing it. Clear his way and he will jump across. Once prompted, use your axe at the 3 blocked language signs to enable Atreus to decipher the riddle. Once the platform is lowered, head up and open the chest.

The River Pass Collectible # 24 – Legendary Chest

This Legendary Chest is very well hidden. To start, head back to the entrance of the cave and start following the path downstairs. You will notice a big block on the side of the cave, which can pushed and thrown down into the abyss. Once the block is out of the way, head back to the top of the elevator and use Blades of Chaos to grab the Winds of Hel behind the elevator. Put them on the bridge heading to the witch’s house. Next, grab them again and run to the top of the block that you pushed into the abyss.

There is a spot to put the Winds of Hel on the middle platform. Use that to store the Winds of Hel there. From there, run around the area, grab them from behind and quickly climb up to put them in another Winds of Hel holder. Now push the block located in the middle so that you can jump across and put the Winds of Hel in the final socket. This will unlock access to the hidden Legendary Chest.

The River Pass Collectible # 26 – Hidden Chamber

This hidden chamber is located inside the room, which you blew open using the red spike balls for the third seal of the Nornir Chest.

The River Pass Collectible # 27 – Mystic Gateway

This is located inside the hidden chamber mentioned above.

The River Pass Collectible # 28 – Raven

This is located inside the hidden chamber mentioned above. Enter the Hidden Chamber and head to the room where the Valkyrie is present to find it sitting at the top.

The River Pass Collectible # 29 – Artifact

Head back to the start of the witch’s cave. Now that you have dropped the giant block in the abyss, you can use it to cross over to the center platform where the artifact is sitting.

For the next set of collectibles, you need to head to the top of the Witch’s cave. To reach the top of the witch’s cave, you can head to the backside of the elevator and climb through the well. You will arrive at the top where the turtle is present.

The River Pass Collectible # 30 – Lore Marker

This Lore Marker is on the wall while you are climbing to the top of the Witch’s Cave.

The River Pass Collectible # 31 – Lore Marker

Climb out the well and you will find this Lore Marker on the left side. To activate it, you will need a blue elven energy stone. You can find one sitting behind the well. Use it to activate the Lore Marker and collect it.

The River Pass Collectible # 32 – Artifact

Located right next to the Lore Marker detailed above.

The River Pass Collectible # 33 – Lore Marker

Head to the left side of the area to find this Lore Marker.

The River Pass Collectible # 34 – Lore Marker

Now head towards the right side of the area from the last Lore Marker to find this next Lore Marker.

The River Pass Collectible # 35 – Artifact

There is only one gold chain in the area located next to the last marker. Climb it up and you will find this artifact.

The River Pass Collectible # 36 – Raven

You will see a broken signpost next to the last artifact; the raven is sitting next to it.

The River Pass Collectible # 37 – Legendary Chest

After killing the raven, head towards the end of the hill and look at the signs on the stones located ahead. It will reveal the location of the sandbowl puzzle located below. Head back, climb down the chain and Atreus will be able to solve the puzzle to reveal the Legendary Chest from under the rubble.

The River Pass Collectible # 38 – Nornir Chest

From the last chest, look on the right side and you will find Winds of Hel inside the socket. Use your Blades of Chaos to grab them and then store them in the socket that is facing the cliff. Now head back up using the chain and go grab the Winds of Hel. Put them in the socket in the signpost so that it shows a sign.

Keep hitting it until it shows a B facing right side at the top one and a B facing up on the bottom one. Head to the signpost where you put Winds of Hel in and you will see that it keeps rotating after some seconds. Once it shows B facing up, remove them, take them to the Nornir Chest, and store the Winds of Hel in it to unlock it. This is the last collectible in the location.
