Unique, truly open-ended fantasy adventure in a strange, new world. Use battle or cunning to change the world, served by your own army of custom-made mutant monsters. Over 80 zones to explore and 50+ hours of gameplay. Multitudes of skills, abilities, factions, treasures, and servants to create.

Geneforge 1 Mutagen will be on the most open-ended RPG available, where players can choose between a host of rival factions, use magic or your deadly pets to crush their enemies. Alternatively, you can use trickery, diplomacy, and stealth to win the game without ever attacking anyone. Destroy the final boss, or switch sides to join him. Fight alone or create your own army of custom-made mutant monsters.

When you first start the game, you enter the world of Shapers. The Shapers are wizards with the awesome power to create life. Need a servant, or a pet, or a tool, or a mighty beast to fight and die for you? The Shapers create it.

The creation that the Shapers make are expected to obey completely. If not, they are destroyed. The Shapers guard their magical secrets with fanatical devotion, executing all who steal them. However, some of the Shapers’ creations are intelligent, and they want their freedom. It is the Shaper’s underestimation of their creations that will lead them to disaster.

Geneforge 1 Mutahen is a total remaster of the 20-year old indie classic Geneforge. It is being remade with the help of a successful Kickstarter to greatly expand the original.
