MinMax Games have announced their brand new project Golftopia which will allow players to build their own golf course of the future. Players will be able to make their gold course a utopian dream or a dystopian nightmare according to their own preferences as the game will provide all tools for it. Players will start from a small pitch and then expand it into a huge mega-resort using crazy devices.
The main aim of Golftopia is to create a humorous management tycoon which is fused with wacky physics-based gold mechanics. Your guests are a picky bunch and they will scrutinize everything they see with over 100 thoughts, complaints, and compliments programmed in the game. You will need to look over every tree, blade of rough, every bump and roll of terrain change because each and everything will alter how golf is played.
Players will be able to place tees, holes and sand traps to create the most unique golf course they can think of. They will then attract visitors and keep them well-fed, hydrated and pacified. If you manage to keep your customers happy, they will turn into prestigious members or if you prefer, drive your customers into madness in a fiendish golf gauntlet. It all boils down to your own preferences.
Apart from the customers, you will also need to look out for a growing infestation of ill-tempered foliage. You can use robot works and defensive turrets which is turns the game into a tower defense game. The game comes with a wide variety of buildable structures and gadgets such as fans, launchers, teleports, hotels, putting greens, bars, restaurants and many more. You can place enough attractions for your customers that they will never have to go back to their homes.
Golftopia is slated for a Q1 2020 release on Steam.
