E3 season is finally here and we had our very first event last night, the Summer Game Fest 2021: Kickoff Live! where we got to see tons of new game announcements, World Premiers, and reveals. We have collected all of them and presented them here for you.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Announcement
2K Games and Gearbox Software kicked off the show with the World Premier of their brand-new, star-studded title Wonderland. It is a spin-off of the Borderland series and is a brand-new IP by the studio. It is slated for an early 2022 release. Check out the trailer below:
Metal Slug Tactics Announcement
Dotemu X Leikir Studio and SNK next revealed the new title in its long-running Metal Slug franchise, Metal Slug Tactics which brings the iconic 90s franchise back to life. Additional details were not revealed at this point. Check out the trailer below:
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut PS5 Announcement
Hideo Kojima made a guest announcement during the Summer Game Fest 2021 and shared some details about his next project. (Or did he?). In addition, he revealed that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is coming to PS5. A release date was not revealed however the trailer mentions that it is coming soon. Check it out below:
Jurassic World Evolution 2 Announcement
Jeff Goldblum also made his guest appearance where he revealed the next title Jurassic World Evolution 2 by Frontier. It is coming out in 2021 for PC via Steam, and Epic Games Store along with PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. however additional details were not revealed at this point. Sable Release Date Announcement
The beautiful and artsy title Sable by Raw Fury and Shedworks is releasing on September 23, 2021. The game received a spotlight during the event with a live performance by Japanese Breakfast. Check it out below:
Lost Ark Western Release Announced
The amazing Japanese MMORPG Lost Ark by Smilegate and Amazon Games is finally getting a western release. It will release on PC via Steam this Fall 2021. Check out the trailer below:
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War | Warzone Season 4 Reveal
Next, we had Johanna Faries, the new GM of Call of Duty to share some details and reveal Season 4 of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War | Warzone. It is launching on June 17. Check out the trailer below:
Ryan Reynolds and Free Guy Trailer
Ryan Reynolds made his guest appearance to talk a little bit about his upcoming movie Free Guy and brought a brand-new trailer for the movie along with him as well:
Among Us New Content Reveal
Innersloth also shared a new trailer detailing some of the new content coming to the game including achievements, new costumes, and new customization options, and a brand-new game mode Hide and Seek. Check out the trailer below:
Shuhei Yoshida Guest Appearance + Salt and Sacrifice Reveal
Sony’s Head of Indies Shuhei Yoshida joined the event as well as a guest where he shared some details on the brilliant indie scene on PlayStation and also revealed Salt and Sacrifice by Devoured Studios and Ska Studios. It will release on PS4, PS5, and PC in 2022 and will bring souls-like action in a new 2D way. Check out the trailer below:
Solar Ash
Annapurna Interactive and Heart Machine shared a new trailer for their upcoming title Solar Ash. It is launching on PlayStation later this year. Check out the new trailer below:
Valorant New Agent Teaser
Valorant is celebrating its first anniversary this month and will also release a new Agent for players. A very short teaser was shown at the Summer Game Fest however a full release is planned for soon. Check it out below:
Escape From Tarkov New Area Reveal
Battlestate Games took the stage next and revealed a brand-new area Streets of Tarkov which is currently under development for their survival shooter Escape From Tarkov. Check out the new trailer below:
Two Point Campus Announcement
Two Point Studios were next and they revealed their brand-new project Two Point Campus. It will release in 2022 on all major platforms including consoles and PC. Check out the trailer below:
Smite X Stranger Things Battle Pass Announced
Hi Rez Studios, Tencent, and Level Up! Games announced that their latest IP crossover with Stranger Things by Netflix. Smite will be getting a Stranger Things-themed Battle Pass as part of this crossover. It will arrive on July 13, 2021, with the new Upside Down Arena Map. Check out the trailer below:
New Studio Prime Matter Reveal + New Painkiller Game Announcement
Next, we got to see a new studio Prime Matter and some of the titles that they are currently working on. Saber Interactive also revealed that their studio is currently working with Prime Matter on a new Painkiller title as well. Details were not revealed during the event. Check out the trailer below:
The Anacrusis Reveal
Developer Stray Bombay revealed their brand-new title The Anacrusis which is a 4-player co-op shooter set on a massive starship abandoned on the edge of explored space. Players must work together in order to survive the alien waves and escape with their lives. Check out the trailer below:
Rocket League X F9 Announced
Psyonix announced the latest collab between Rocket League and the upcoming F9 movie. As part of the collab, three new cars will be coming to the game as a DLC bundle featured in the new movie. The three-car bundle will arrive on June 17, 2021, in Rocket League. Check out the trailer below:
Vampire: The Masquerade Blood Hunt Reveal
Developer Sharkmob finally fully revealed their previously unnamed project set in the Vampire: The Masquerade world to be Blood Hunt. Check out the World Premiere below:
The Dark Pictures Anthology – House of Ashes Monster Reveal
Supermassive Games earlier released a story trailer for their upcoming title House of Ashes in their The Dark Pictures Anthology and during the Summer Game Fest, finally revealed the monsters that will be prowling you when you jump in the game on October 22, 2021. Check it out below:
Tales of Arise Release Date Announcement
BANDAI NAMCO revealed a new trailer for the upcoming Tales of Arise and also gave us a release date of the title. Tales of Arise will release on September 10, 2021. Check out the new trailer below:
Sky: Children of Light Nintendo Switch Release Date Announced
thatgamecompany announced that the console version of Sky: Children of Light will release on June 29, 2021, on Nintendo Switch after which the Le Petit Prince season will start on July 6. Check out the new trailer below:

SEGA and Amplitude shared an extended look at their upcoming title Endless Dungeon showcasing how important teamwork is in the game in order to survive. The game was originally announced back at The Game Awards 2020. Check out the new trailer below:
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout 2B Costume Reveal
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is getting 2B from Nier: Automata as a DLC costume. It will release on June 18, 2021. Check out the trailer below:
New Developer Deviation Games Announcement
A new developer Deviation Games was announced which comprises of ex developers of Treyarch and Call of Duty titles. They are currently working on a brand-new IP. No additional details were revealed about the project at this point however the developer has high hopes for it. However, the developer did reveal that they are working for Sony and their title will release on PlayStation.
Back4Blood
WB Games and Turtle Rock gave us a small teaser of a new boss and Closed Beta details coming later this summer for their upcoming title Back4Blood. Check it out below:
Tunic Reveal + Demo Announcement
Tunic is a game about a fox who fights monsters and explores beautiful locations. We got to see a sneak peek at its gameplay with a demo announcement for next Tuesday. Check out the trailer below:
Tribes of Midgard Reveal
A new Norse mythology-inspired co-op action-survival RPG title called Tribes of Midgard was also announced. While the game favors co-op, it is fully playable in solo mode as well. It will release on July 27, on PC, PS4, and PS5. Check out the trailer below:
Evil Dead: The Game Extended Gameplay
Evil Dead: The Game was also part of the event and we got to see extended footage on the game. It is slated for a 2021 release. Check it out below:
Elden Ring Trailer + Release Date Announcement
The event finally concluded with a great finale which was none other than a full reveal of Elden Ring along with a release date announcement. Elden Ring which is currently under development at FromSoftware and BANDAI NAMCO featuring a world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring is probably one of the most hyped titles from the event. Check out the trailer below which reveals the release date of January 21, 2022.
