This Apex Legends Fuse Guide will show you how to play as the new Legend in the latest season in the game. Apex Legends Season 8 has just gone live a few hours ago and brings in a new Legend to the obliterated map, among plenty of other things in this exciting season.
Fuse or Walter Fitzroy if you go by his real name, is a one-man wrecking crew who knows how to ambush and scramble the opponents to look for cover. Fuse is a laid-back explosives enthusiast who is covered in things that go BOOM. Fuse doesn’t lack confidence, but he often lacks a plan. He’s a blow-up-first ask-questions-later kinda guy, who’s always looking for a good scrap.
Apex Legends Fuse Guide
First, let’s look at Fuse’s abilities and what they do, and then we will show you how to best use them.
Fuse Abilities
This list contains all the abilities that are special to Fuse.
- Passive Ability – Grenadier: Stack an extra grenade per inventory slot. Fore grenades farther, faster, and more accurately.
- Tactical Ability – Knuckle Cluster: Launch a cluster bomb that continuously expels airburst explosives on impact.
- Ultimate Ability – The Motherlode: Launch a bombardment that encircles a target area in a wall of flame.
Fuse Combat Tips
First, let’s take a look at his passive ability which is the Grenadier. This ability is much more than just a grenade throw, as it allows for a more accurate and farther throw. Fuse’s passive ability always allows you to use his forearm device to launch any grenade you pick, aim at a point, and launch. Meanwhile, an added bonus is that you get an extra grenade slot, which gives him the advantage as opposed to any other legend in the game.
Moving on to his Knuckle Cluster ability which is a quick cluster grenade throw that you can launch to hit opponents, take out their devices, and use it to smash open doors. However, the best way to use the Knuckle Cluster is to squeeze out camped opponents, who will eventually scramble out to avoid the quick series of cluster bombs. If you want to deal extra damage, you can stick this bomb on a target which then explodes on the opponent, before releasing the additional cluster bombs.
The Knuckle Cluster is also great in taking out opponent’s devices like Loba’s Black Market, Rampart’s Shields which are obliterated per explosion, and even Revenant’s ultimate. However, there is Wattson, whose interception pylons will block the Knuckle Clusters, meaning that they will not detonate if caught by the pylon.
Finally, let’s look at Fuse’s Ultimate ability, which is The Motherlode. This is a bombardment that leaves a ring of fire trapping opponents inside. This ability is a high damage-dealing attack that burns the opponents if they come in contact with the fire. The attack will instantly take a chunk of the opponent’s health, while it ticks away additional damage even as a burning effect.
However, the ring of fire is only dangerous if the opponent comes in contact with it. The area inside is safe for them, provided they are not being shot at, but it will disorientate players who will be more focused on escaping. To make things even more interesting, you can have a Caustic in your team who can toss a gas grenade inside the ring of fire, leaving the opponents to decide if they want to die from the gas or the fire. It is all about trapping the enemies in the ring or creating a barrier for yourself. But don’t for once think Fuse is immune to the fire, as it will damage not only your teammates but Fuse himself if any of you come in contact with it.
