Benoit Clerc, head of publishing at Nacon had this to say,
Like all gamers around the world, we couldn’t wait to try out the next generation of consoles. After many months of work, it’s an honor to be there on day one with one of our flagship titles. The possibilities offered by the new consoles have allowed us to take WRC 9 to a new and incredible level of performance and smooth gameplay, further demonstrating KT Racing’s expertise in racing simulations.
The new WRC 9 Content Update will bring in additional special stages, a new driver, along the new Photo Mode. From today, there are 6 special stages that have been added to the iconic Neste Rally in Finland, the fastest rally of the season. The rally is considerably tough for drivers and will excite players to give a try on their own. The course is filled with blind jumps, which is where you really have to rely on the pace notes of your co-driver.
Moreover, the contents of the new update will see the addition of the New Zealand driver Hayden Paddon and his co-driver John Kennard behind the wheel of the celebrated Hyundai i20 WRC. Lastly, the game now has a Photo Mode, which players can use to share their favorite moments in some of the most beautiful landscapes around the world.
- 3 new rallies: Japan, New Zealand, Kenya
- Over 50 official teams and their livery from the WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3 and Junior WRC
- Over 15 bonus cars that have left their mark on the history of the WRC
- The brand-new Clubs Mode, to create customised championships
