Nacon and Cyanide have released additional details about their upcoming title Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood that focuses on Cahal’s past. Cahal is the protagonist of Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood and the new trailer is all about his life and past. Cahal is a werewolf of the Fianna tribe. He is married and father to a daughter however he suffers a tragic fate that forces him into exile. He must flee everyone that he loves to protect them from his rage. After the tragedy, Cahal is forced to leave his beloved wife, Ludmila; his daughter, Aedana, who he loves more than anyone; and his best friends Rodko and Ava. They’ve always had his back but the circumstances changed quickly and now he must abandon them to protect them.
His rage is fueled by the petroleum subsidiary for the mega-corporation Pentex, Endron and they are the ones responsible for ruining his life. They remain a constant threat to Gaia, Mother Earth, and because of this, Cahal is consumed by a single goal: to put an end to Endron in whatever way he finds with his new powers. The game is officially described as:
Become Cahal, a banished werewolf, forced to return to aid of his endangered Tribe and master the devastating Rage within him to punish all those that would pollute, destroy, and corrupt our Mother Earth, Gaïa. On his bloody quest for redemption, Cahal will play a pivotal role in the Great War of the Garou against Pentex, a powerful corporation whose activities are upsetting the balance of nature.
The game was officially revealed at PDXCon back in 2019. This comes a lot later than the game’s initial reveal and then later it was announced in 2018 that the game development is now back on track.
