NACON Announces 2020 Editions of Tour de France, Pro Cycling Manager

Tour de France 2020

Tour de France and Pro Cycling Manager were acquired by NACON (Previously Bigben) in 2018 and the publisher released the 2019 editions of both games last year. However, NACON and Cyanide have now announced that both Tour de France and Pro Cycling Manager will mark their return in 2020 as well. Both Tour de France 2020 and Pro Cycling Manager 2020 will be released this year.

Pro Cycling Manager and Tour de France might be two different titles but they both cover the same sport and work excellent as complimentary titles to each other. While Tour de France is a video game that focuses on the actual sport as you drive the bike in the main event, Pro Cycling Manager puts you behind the desk of a team manager as you must manage your Tour de France team and ensure that your team comes out at the top at the end of the event.

Pro Cycling Manage 2020 follows the same core formula and builds upon it to make it better. You will manage your own Tour de France team just like before and string together victories and try to take the lead over the competition. The latest edition of the game offers you a chance to take part in all 21 official stages of Tour de France and over 230 races. This combines to make 650 total events. Some of the new events added in Pro Cycling Manager 2020 are:

  • Managing the morale of your cyclists in career mode to recreate this essential aspect of real races
  • A new stage planning system to help assign your team members
  • A more dynamic and aggressive AI that forces you to adapt and improve your strategy in real time

On the other hand, Tour de France 2020 will allow you to jump in the cycling seat as you try to pedal your way to victory. You will need to optimize your tactics and stamina management if you want to reach the very top of the biggest cycling event of the world. The 2020 edition of Tour de France comes with major improvements and additions to the game. Some of which include:

  • Liège-Bastogne-Liège (“The Old Lady”) added, a 266km race of steep climbs
  • A redesigned interface that provides better anticipation of the course and position of competitors
  • A deeper time-trial where posture and sprint management are crucial for success
  • A more realistic AI that grabs any attack opportunity
  • A unique immersive aspect thanks to a new feature that will be revealed soon

We reviewed the Tour de France 2019 when it came out and we really liked the game. We are certainly looking forward to trying out the 2020 edition of Tour de France and Pro Cycling Manager when they release this summer.

Both Tour de France 2020 and Pro Cycling Manager 2020 will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 4, 2020.
