Cyanide Studio and Bigben have announced that the 2019 versions of the trademark cycling video games Tour de France 2019 and Pro Cycling Manager 2019 are now out. This is the first time that both Tour de France and Pro Cycling Manager have been released under the umbrella of Bigben. Bigben acquired both these franchises back in February 2019 and now the 2019 versions of these titles have been released.
Tour de France 2019 takes place at the official place of the real-life Tour de France and you can experience this legendary race from inside the peloton and pit yourself against the best cyclists from around the globe. The game features all 21 official stages of the Tour de France which have been recreated for the game with amazing detail.
The game will bring all the thrills and challenges that you can expect from the real race and you will be facing challenges such as breakaways, sprints and stamina management during the grueling hill climbs.
The key features of Tour de France 2019 are:
- A multiplayer mode: for the first time in this franchise, up to four players can challenge each other online in a variety of short races
- Local challenge mode: as well as descents, players can now race head to head in short and intense sprints
- World championships in Pro Team and Pro Leader modes where the routes change with the seasons
- Improved AI for ultra-realistic cyclist behavior
- New races: as well as the Tour de France, players can experience other iconic races, such as the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Paris-Nice, and the Critérium du Dauphiné.
On the other hand, Pro Cycling Manager 2019 offers a completely different experience. Jump in the shoes of a manager of a team of professional cyclists and guide them as they race in the Tour de France along with 200 races available in the game. While one game puts you in the shoes of a cyclist, the other one makes you a manager of a team of professional cyclists.
Key features of Pro Cycling Manager 2019 include:
- Lots of content with 200 races and 600 stages
- Multiple modes: Career mode for managing teams, contracts, and sponsors; Pro Cyclist mode for taking a cyclist up through the rankings to the ultimate prize
- New online multiplayer mode for up to 16 players
- New cyclist skill tree system
- Improved AI for better immersion
Tour de France 2019 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. Pro Cycling Manager 2019 is now available on PC via Steam.
