Playground Games has revealed the upcoming Horizon Cars & Coffee update for Forza Horizon 5 in its latest Let’s Play livestream. During the stream, the developers showcased a brand-new paid DLC car pack featuring some of the best 90s JDM cars along with a new point-of-interest location which was teased during the previous update. A coffee shop is indeed coming to Forza Horizon 5 with the latest update and with it, tons of other coffee-themed items and objects as well. New Evolving World Location: The Coffee Shop

At the heart of the Horizon Cars & Coffee series is the new Coffee Shop, a vibrant location perfect for solo or group photo ops. This picturesque spot, adorned with murals and new artwork, features platforms designed for group shots, making it an ideal place to immortalize your convoy. The Coffee Shop also boasts a drive-through area for cool photo opportunities and a photo studio with special lights that turn on at night for unique illumination.

JDM Jewels Car Pack

Four of Japan’s biggest automotive stars arrive in the JDM Jewels Car Pack, featuring Japan-exclusive cars now available in Forza Horizon 5. This pack includes the 1993 Autozam AZ-1, a kei car with gullwing doors and a mid-engine design; the 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution, a rally champion with a powerful V6 engine; the 1997 Nissan Stagea RS Four V, a station wagon with parts from the Nissan R33 Skyline; and the 1991 Toyota Sera, a unique hatchback with butterfly doors and a glass canopy rooftop.

Festival Playlist Reward Cars

The Festival Playlist features a diverse collection of Reward Cars, including the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupé, 2021 Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, 1976 Volkswagen SP-2, 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, and the 1973 Volkswagen Thing.

New Unlockable Outfits and Props

Players can unlock the Coffee Cup outfit, complete with a pre-made smile, during the first week of the Festival Playlist. Additionally, EventLab creators will have access to new props inspired by the Coffee Shop, including ramps, platforms, barriers, flags, murals, and a coffee cup decoration.

Nighttime Drone Show

Visit the Coffee Shop at night to witness a captivating drone show, where flying drones create shapes of a coffee cup, a car wheel, and the series’ logo. This show, combined with nighttime spotlights, offers unique photo opportunities for players and their convoys.

General Performance and Stability Fixes

The update also addresses various performance and stability issues, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. Specific fixes include the correct display of the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N’s rear badge, resolution of dark matte texture issues on the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, proper display of side mirrors on all three Time Machines, and correction of wheel clipping on the 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara ‘Jurassic Park’ after large jumps.

Following the Horizon Cars & Coffee series, Forza Horizon 5 will introduce the High-Performance Dailies series, featuring four Festival Playlist Reward Cars, new racing routes, and additional EventLab props, including a new collectible.
