Indie game developer Spilt Milk Studios is set to present a fresh demo of their upcoming cozy shopkeeping game, Trash Goblin, on Steam during Develop:Brighton’s Indie Showcase. The event, running from July 9th to 11th, will feature a brand-new quest for attendees to experience. As one of ten games highlighted at the event, Trash Goblin is in contention for the Indie Showcase Winner, and attendees can also vote for it to win the People’s Choice Award.
Trash Goblin offers a unique blend of shop management and whimsical item restoration. You take on the role of a goblin tasked with uncovering and refurbishing various trinkets. By cleaning off dirt and grime, you prepare these items for sale, embracing the concept that “one goblin’s trash is another goblin’s treasure.”
Customization is at the heart of Trash Goblin. You can combine trinkets to create unique items that cater to the eccentric demands of their customers. Understanding customer preferences allows you to fetch higher prices for their goods. The game encourages you to expand your business by investing your earnings in shop upgrades, acquiring new tools, and branching out to new districts.
The full version of Trash Goblin promises a rich array of features, including:
- Over 180 trinkets, accessories, and variations to discover, clean, repair, and upcycle
- Eight tools for use in three different trinket-care minigames
- More than 15 NPC characters to interact with and sell to
- Over 25 quests to complete
- Endless customers and infinite gameplay possibilities
“We’re thrilled that Trash Goblin has been selected for Develop:Brighton’s Indie Showcase this year,” said Spilt Milk Creative Director Andrew Smith. “Being chosen as one of only ten games on the show floor is a fantastic validation of our team’s hard work. It’s also great exposure for our charming Goblin game. We’re eager to see the reaction to the new quest featured in our updated demo. We believe you will enjoy the new content and watching them play it in person will be an invaluable way to gauge if we’re hitting all the right notes.”
Trash Goblin’s inclusion in Develop:Brighton’s Indie Showcase marks a significant achievement for Spilt Milk Studios. The event offers a unique platform for the game to gain visibility and for the developers to receive feedback from you and industry professionals. As attendees explore the updated demo, they will experience the charm and creativity that Trash Goblin promises to deliver. Earlier this month, Split Milk Studios welcomed industry veterans to the development team of Trash Goblin.
