Open World Ship Simulator Ships 2022 Announced for 2022 Release

Games Box S.A. and Ultimate Games S.A. have announced the open-world ship simulation game Ships 2022 that will release in 2022. The game will combine both strategy and simulation and will offer a great open-world ship management experience to fans of the franchise. Ships is returning after Ships 2017 which was released back in 2016 and now the franchise is coming back after 5 years. Ships 2022 will also add action into the mix.

Ships 2022 will allow you to manage your own port and set out on various independent sea expeditions. The ports in the game will be modeled on real locations and the vast waters of the Earth’s oceans. You will have a lot of different options of ships to choose from ranging from container ships, tankers, cruise ships, icebreakers, and rescue units. A realistic daily time system and the randomness of weather will add further realism to the experience.

Ships 2022 is a continuation of Ships 2017 and at the same time a completely new and fresh opening for the brand. We are preparing very diverse gameplay, which will consist of a strategic and a simulation part. In the first one, we will manage the development of our own port complex – here Ships 2022 will be an extensive economic strategy. The second half of the game, however, will consist of conducting various sea expeditions, where we will manage, for example, a tanker or a rescue unit in order to perform specific tasks.

Ports and ships constitute one of the key elements in the entire bloodstream of international trade. In Ships 2022, we want to bring players closer to this fascinating world. Managing the port complex, as well as individual units and employees, will be a refreshing challenge for fans of economic strategies. The ability to independently lead various sea expeditions will, in turn, be a great diversion, as there is no place for boredom here either – there’s something really special in sailing the seas and oceans.

Ships 2022 is initially planned for a PC release and a Steam page is now live for the game as well where you can add the game to your wishlist. In addition, after the initial PC release, the game is also planned to release sometime later on consoles including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
