Ultimate Games S.A. and indie Polish developer MasterCode have announced that their upcoming title Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 will be entering Early Access later this year however a free demo for the game is now available for players to try out the game. The full release of the game is planned for 2022 where the game will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The developer is also interested in releasing a VR version of the game later.
The first title in the franchise was released back in 2018 which was followed by a VR and a console release. For Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2, the developer wants to follow the same criteria along with adding many novelties to the game and implementing improvements overall the game. MasterCode details that a brand-new underwater camera with hook and fish close-ups, the possibility to fish in a given fishery during different seasons, and a special fish routines system based on the time of the day.
As part of this brand-new system, the behavior of a given species of fish during the feeding time will be much different from their routines during the resting time. Rafał Jelonek, COO at Ultimate Games S.A further details:
Our goal is to set new standards when it comes to fishing simulators. Work on Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 has already suffered some delays, which is simply due to the fact that we want to deliver the game in the highest possible quality. The new instalment will significantly differ from the first one. We are preparing many different improvements and completely new elements. In a nutshell – Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 includes, among others, vastly improved graphics, additional third person perspective mode (TPP), as well as new dynamic water and fish AI systems.
When creating Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 we did not concentrate solely on avid fishing enthusiasts. We are working on two game modes – one of them will be simplified and aimed at new players, including those who have not had any contact with fishing before.
If you want to try out Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2, a free demo is now available for the game on Steam however the demo represents a very early build of the game so it does not represent how the full game will be when it comes out.
