Indie studio BancyCo has announced its highly anticipated fourth original IP, Neo Harbor Rescue Squad. The game brings an arcade-style action experience that combines the mechanics of popular medical-themed games from the Wii and DS era with fast-paced, challenging minigames. Neo Harbor Rescue Squad will be available later this year on PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam.
In the game, you will find yourself in the role of a rookie paramedic, tackling emergencies throughout the bustling city of Neo Harbor. The game boasts vibrant, colorful graphics that shine in native 4K resolution on PS5 and Steam, with the PS5 version offering an extra dimension of gameplay through the DualSense wireless controller.

In Neo Harbor Rescue Squad, you join the city’s rescue team, which has long been overshadowed by the prestigious Neo Harbor Fire Department. As a new paramedic rookie, you must respond to emergencies, manage difficult patients, and protect the squad’s reputation from the scheming news reporter, Betty Woo.
The game features a frantic triage system where you juggle multiple waves of patients, capturing the urgency and critical decision-making required of real paramedics. You’ll manage several emergency scenes simultaneously and use special shields to buy time for strategic planning, all while racing against the clock.
Neo Harbor Rescue Squad challenges you with over 50 intense and occasionally humorous treatment minigames. These range from performing CPR and stopping nosebleeds to wrapping bandages and using a defibrillator. Each minigame requires quick thinking and precision to stabilize patients and prevent them from going critical.
The game’s narrative is inspired by real-life stories from emergency personnel in Hong Kong. Co-founder Nancy Yeung drew significant inspiration from her hometown for the vibrant locales of Neo Harbor City, including dim sum shops, night markets, and an amusement park caught in a typhoon.
Neo Harbor Rescue Squad also features gorgeous visual novel scenes with animated characters, expressive voices, and even a smarmy-talking dolphin. You will make impactful choices throughout these scenes, further immersing yourself in the dramatic tale of teamwork and rivalry within the rescue squad.
