German indie developer Crunchy Leaf Games has announced that its physics-based roguelike shooter Galactic Glitch is now available in Steam Early Access. Galactic Glitch has spent over 10 years in development and now the game has finally entered its Early Access phase on PC where the developers will continue to finalize the full game alongside fans and you.
Galactic Glitch is a twin-stick roguelike shooter featuring physics-based combat. The game blends the top-down arena combat of Bubble Tanks with the fluid, fast-paced action of Dead Cells, and adds a hefty dose of innovative physics mechanics. You wield a gravity gun to manipulate your surroundings, catching and slingshotting rocks and mines off the arena walls. You can also redirect enemy rockets, tear parts off adversaries to use as weapons, or hurl enemies into each other to ensure your survival.

Max Dohme, lead developer at Crunchy Leaf Games comments: “Galactic Glitch has been our passion project for over 10 years, inspired initially by Flash games like Bubble Tanks. When we incorporated physics in 2014, the game really took shape. Playing Dead Cells in 2017 refined our vision, showing us how we wanted our game to feel—an ultra-fluid, physics-driven space roguelike. With the onset of Covid in 2020, we doubled down on development, and now, four years later, we’re excited to share our dream game with the world. We can’t wait to hear player feedback and continue improving and expanding the game based on their experiences.”
